Strong, Smart, and Bold

That is what each one of you is!!  In this unprecedented time, when anxiety is high and people are uncertain about what is yet to come, people stand tall.  In keeping with the CDC’s guidelines for gathering, Girls Inc. of Winter Haven has suspended all in-person programming and events.  With great anticipation, we look forward to the Polk County Public School reopening to students because we will do the same. 

What does all this mean?  It means. . . 

That we have made the decision to postpone our She Knows Where She Is Going Awards luncheon. Thank you for your nominations; we look forward to announcing our honorees in the future. 

That we are looking at creative ways to provide service to our girls – connecting with them (and their families) virtually to provide support, program, reading time, etc. 

Strong – our wish is that you, and our families, will stay strong during this difficult time; reach out when necessary, and be able to laugh when you can.

Smart – our wish is that you, and our families, continue to take care of yourselves and make decisions that protect you and the community. 

Bold – our wish is that our girls will see our community as stronger than this disruption/disaster so that they will step up and be bold when they are faced with situations beyond their control. 

We thank you for your continued support of our organization.  Our girls benefit because of your support and in turn our community grows stronger.
